The Reserve faunique des Laurentides, located between Québec City and Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean, is an immense territory covering 7,861 square kilometres. Hunters and anglers as well as outdoor enthusiasts practice their favourite activities in a high-quality wilderness environment. The fauna is everywhere there.

Cross-country skiing

Camp Mercier is a renowned cross-country ski centre with the best snow conditions in Québec. The trail network consists of 70 linear km of trails (50 km for classic skiing and 20 km for skate skiing). You will find restaurant services, an equipment rental store, a waxing room, a first aid clinic, patrollers, and state-of-the-art trail maintenance.

Snowshoeing

A network of 33 linear km of snowshoeing trails were recently developed starting from Camp Mercier. The trails offer breathtaking views, one of which culminates at an altitude of 1,000 m. You can also reach the Relais Le Pic, as well as a lean-to, both located at an altitude of 800 m.

Lodging

About a hundred cottages are scattered throughout the territory and can accommodate groups from 2 to 16 people.
The reserve is open year-round with a variety of activities.
