This fall, enjoy an itinerary that takes you off the beaten track and away from the crowds in an unexpected way that’s somewhere between camping and glamping.
Day 1 – Van Trip to Centre récréotouristique des Hautes Terres
Located in Sainte-Brigitte-de-Laval, high in the mountains adorned with vibrant fall colours, this centre is the starting point for one of the region’s most beautiful hikes: the Montagne à deux têtes.
Hiking on the Montagne à deux têtes
This moderately challenging trail offers spectacular views of the valley and surrounding mountains, which are particularly stunning in fall when the foliage is bursting with colour. Plan for around an hour and a half to two hours to complete the loop.
Electric quad biking
Take a thrilling ride along the trails on an electric quad bike for two. The Centre récréotouristique des Hautes Terres and its surroundings have well-kept trails and varied terrain to enjoy. You must be at least 16 years old to drive the vehicle.
Dining
We recommend packing a lunch to eat on the mountain or in your van.
For dinner, don’t miss the Sommet Bistro Pub, which is right on site. It’s the perfect spot to dig into a warm, comforting meal after a big day in the great outdoors. Enjoy delicious food while taking in a panoramic view of the mountains. The restaurant often hosts musical and themed nights, and the atmosphere is always relaxed and friendly.
Overnight stay: Centre récréotouristique des Hautes Terres
Check in at the Centre récréotouristique des Hautes Terres as soon as you arrive so you can take advantage of the activities at the centre without hassle.

Days 2 and 3 – Van Trip to Sentiers du Moulin and Réserve faunique des Laurentides
Hiking on the Sentiers du Moulin
As you leave Sainte-Brigitte-de-Laval, we recommend making a stop to hike a new trail that opened in June 2025. The Maelstrom sector is a new area that offers an energizing nature hike. The scenic trail is an excellent way to explore the region surrounded by lakes and forests while admiring the fall colours.
Dining nearby
Next stop: the Réserve faunique des Laurentides’ new space for camper vans, Espace Nomade.
The Espace Nomade is a new camping space exclusively for RVs.
