Réserve faunique des Laurentides - Hunting and Fishing

The Réserve faunique des Laurentides is an immense territory covering 7,861 square kilometres. Hunters and anglers as well as outdoor enthusiasts can enjoy their favourite activities in a high-quality wilderness environment.

FISHING including lodging or by the day

The Reserve faunique des Laurentides has more than 2,000 lakes and 9 rivers in 25 lodging sectors. The fish are native. Some bodies of water have more restrictive catch limits to preserve fishing quality or season length. The use of electric motors or gasoline engines is permitted throughout the reserve, but is prohibited in the sectors included in the Jacques-Cartier National Park. Fish for brook trout, Arctic char, and lake trout!

For day fishing, several bodies of water are available with boats provided. The Grand lac Jacques-Cartier is accessible to those who have their own boat.

Bear, moose, and small game HUNTING

The Reserve faunique des Laurentides belongs to the provincial hunting zone 27 west. Moose hunting is restricted in the reserve and all moose hunting packages are subject to a draw.

Also offered: small game hunting from mid-October to the end of October, on a daily basis or as a package, including lodging. The species hunted are the ruffed grouse, the spruce grouse, and the snowshoe hare.
